RISCmobile is an Apple iOS application that can be used by law enforcement officers to identify subjects in the field via fingerprint recognition. RISCmobile runs on iPod touch, iPhone and iPad devices that dock with the FbF mobileOne fingerprint scanner (Cradle and QuickDock). Captured biometric images are sent via Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) WiFi to remote databases, such as the FBI Repository for Individuals of Special Concern (RISC) and compatible state and local fingerprint databases.
